Giant River Otter

Endangered and charismatic, giant otters are the flagship species of Karanambu and the Rupununi wetlands.

Guyana's vast, intact rainforest and protected wetlands make it one of the few places where these remarkable species can still be observed in healthy, wild populations. Community-owned ecotourism directly funds the protection of their habitat.
